# SpinSpell vs Idol Empire

The clearest difference is rating: Idol Empire at 4.6 against SpinSpell's 3.4. Idol Empire also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 10). SpinSpell's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Idol Empire sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. SpinSpell asks for nothing beyond the download.

Idol Empire holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Idol Empire has 1.4K ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of SpinSpell's written reviews are positive against 24% of Idol Empire's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SpinSpell ships an update every 5 weeks, Idol Empire every 6 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
