# Precommit vs GradeGrind

The clearest difference is update cadence: GradeGrind at every 5 days against Precommit's every 10 days. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Precommit sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and GradeGrind sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $2.29 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Precommit ships an update every 10 days, GradeGrind every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
