# TextPort vs ImageShield

The clearest difference is rating: ImageShield at 5.0 against TextPort's 4.4. ImageShield also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 60%). TextPort's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly) and ratings volume (1.5K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextPort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and ImageShield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ImageShield holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TextPort has 1.5K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of TextPort's written reviews are positive against 100% of ImageShield's.

TextPort ships an update every 2 days, ImageShield monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
