# TextPort vs Text Message Export

The clearest difference is rating: TextPort at 4.4 against Text Message Export's 2.7. TextPort also leads on review sentiment (59% vs 25%) and update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TextPort sells 15 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Text Message Export sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

TextPort ships an update every 2 days, Text Message Export every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 1, 2026.
