# Step Guard vs LoroNote

The clearest difference is rating: Step Guard at 5.0 against LoroNote's 4.6. LoroNote's advantage is ratings volume (53 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Guard sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and LoroNote sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Guard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LoroNote has 53 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Step Guard ships an update every 5 days, LoroNote every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
