Blurred Photos & Content Control Photos on Nuuki are blurred by default. You decide how much of the image is visible—just a glimpse or the full photo. Even when the entire image is technically present, it’s revealed or partially, never all at once. This design adds mystery, protects your privacy, and gives you full control over what others can see. Every photo disappears after it’s viewed, and nothing is saved to the viewer’s device. It’s sharing on your terms—just one look, then it’s gone. Private Messaging Nuuki reimagines private messaging to make conversations safer, more intentional, and difficult to share. Messages are delivered one word at a time, limiting how much can be seen at once and making it nearly impossible to copy or store the full message. You can also include a disappearing photo in your message. Like all visual content on Nuuki, it is shown only once and immediately removed after viewing. There is no message history, no saved media, and no way to forward or revisit a past exchange. Conversations are brief, secure, and designed to disappear—just like a real moment shared in person. Anonymity & Public Sharing Nuuki allows you to share photos anonymously through Discover. Public posts never show your username, profile, or any identifying information—only the image you’ve chosen to partially or fully reveal. Your identity stays hidden unless a Vine is created and both users continue the exchange long enough to unlock a friendship. When sharing privately with friends, your username is visible—but the same privacy rules apply: the photo disappears after viewing, and nothing is stored on the recipient’s device. Whether you're posting publicly or sending something directly, you decide what is visible, for how long, and to whom. Vines: Anonymous Conversations Vines are turn-based exchanges between anonymous users. If you see something in Discover that catches your attention, you can reply starting with a photo of your own . The other person may respond—but only one reply can be sent at a time, and only after receiving a response. As the Vine continues, more features become available: profile pictures, names, messaging, and eventually the ability to unlock a friendship. There’s a time limit—if either person doesn’t reply within 24 hours, the Vine disappears permanently. Vines are designed to encourage meaningful, low-pressure connections through content, not profiles. Every exchange is temporary, anonymous, and entirely optional. Privacy by Design Nuuki is built from the ground up to prioritize user privacy. No content is ever stored on the device. Photos and messages disappear after viewing and cannot be recovered. There is no chat history, no saved media, and no way to revisit content once it’s been seen. Screen recording and screen mirroring are blocked by default to prevent unauthorized capture. Nuuki removes traditional social pressure—there are no public profiles, follower counts, or comment sections. Public posts can receive likes, but the creator remains anonymous, and likes are not tied to visible identities.
