# EmoJournal vs PriorityStack

The clearest difference is ads: EmoJournal at none against PriorityStack's shown. PriorityStack's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 8 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. EmoJournal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and PriorityStack sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

EmoJournal ships an update every 8 months, PriorityStack every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
