# StoryLab vs Sticky Notes

The clearest difference is ads: StoryLab at none against Sticky Notes's shown. Sticky Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 7 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StoryLab sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $44.99 per year and Sticky Notes sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StoryLab ships an update every 7 months, Sticky Notes every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
