# Pedometer vs Walkfare

The clearest difference is ads: Pedometer at none against Walkfare's shown. Pedometer also leads on iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). Walkfare's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pedometer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Walkfare sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Pedometer ships an update every 3 months, Walkfare every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
