# Anecnote vs Totly

The clearest difference is update cadence: Totly at every 3 days against Anecnote's monthly. Totly also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Anecnote's advantage is ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Anecnote sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Totly sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Anecnote against 5.0 for Totly. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3 and 1 respectively.

Anecnote ships an update monthly, Totly every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
