# TipKeepr vs TipStation

The clearest difference is monetization model: TipKeepr at free with in-app purchases against TipStation's subscription. TipKeepr also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 5 weeks) and ratings volume (123 vs 8). TipStation's advantage is ads (none vs shown). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TipKeepr sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.39 per month and TipStation sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for TipKeepr against 5.0 for TipStation. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TipKeepr has 123 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

TipKeepr ships an update every 5 days, TipStation every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
