# Kounts vs Photo Countdown Widget

The clearest difference is monetization model: Photo Countdown Widget at free against Kounts's freemium. Photo Countdown Widget also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). Kounts's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 3 weeks) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Kounts sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per year and Photo Countdown Widget sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Kounts against 5.0 for Photo Countdown Widget. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 4 respectively. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Kounts ships an update every 4 days, Photo Countdown Widget every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 30, 2026.
