# Faxo vs Lively

The clearest difference is rating: Faxo at 4.6 against Lively's 1.3. Faxo also leads on ratings volume (216 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Faxo sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Lively sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Faxo holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Faxo has 216 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Faxo ships an update every 2 days, Lively every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
