# PenX vs DayMarked

The clearest difference is update cadence: PenX at every 2 days against DayMarked's weekly. PenX also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PenX sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and DayMarked sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PenX ships an update every 2 days, DayMarked weekly. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
