# Homeroom vs Assignment Tracker

The clearest difference is rating: Assignment Tracker at 5.0 against Homeroom's 4.5. Assignment Tracker also leads on ads (none vs shown). Homeroom's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Homeroom sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Assignment Tracker sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Assignment Tracker holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Homeroom has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Homeroom ships an update every 3 weeks, Assignment Tracker every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
