# Mecipe vs PolarPantry

The clearest difference is update cadence: PolarPantry at every 2 days against Mecipe's every 3 weeks. Mecipe's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mecipe ships an update every 3 weeks, PolarPantry every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
