# KinshipNet vs Time Vault

The clearest difference is monetization model: Time Vault at free against KinshipNet's free with in-app purchases. Time Vault also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). KinshipNet's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. KinshipNet sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Time Vault sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

KinshipNet ships an update monthly, Time Vault every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
