# GenQR vs QR Maker

The clearest difference is update cadence: GenQR at weekly against QR Maker's every 4 months. GenQR also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. GenQR sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and QR Maker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

GenQR ships an update weekly, QR Maker every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
