# FontNotes vs Glass Notes

The clearest difference is review sentiment: FontNotes at 100% against Glass Notes's 50%. FontNotes also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 8 days) and ratings volume (6 vs 2). Glass Notes's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FontNotes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Glass Notes asks for nothing beyond the download.

Glass Notes holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 6 and 2 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of FontNotes's written reviews are positive against 50% of Glass Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FontNotes ships an update every 3 days, Glass Notes every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
