# Valor Keep vs Gear Battle!

The clearest difference is rating: Gear Battle! at 4.7 against Valor Keep's 2.6. Gear Battle! also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs fortnightly) and ratings volume (118 vs 5). Valor Keep's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (29% vs 5%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Valor Keep sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Gear Battle! sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gear Battle! holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gear Battle! has 118 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Valor Keep's written reviews are positive against 5% of Gear Battle!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Valor Keep ships an update fortnightly, Gear Battle! every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
