# Oblivion Launcher vs Comet

The clearest difference is update cadence: Comet at every 8 days against Oblivion Launcher's every 3 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Oblivion Launcher sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month and Comet sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Oblivion Launcher ships an update every 3 months, Comet every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
