# Runify vs Emotions Journal

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Runify at 244 against Emotions Journal's 2. Emotions Journal's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs fortnightly) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Runify sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Emotions Journal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Emotions Journal holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Runify has 244 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Runify ships an update fortnightly, Emotions Journal every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
