# Categories vs Quartetti

The clearest difference is ads: Categories at none against Quartetti's shown. Categories also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Categories sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Quartetti sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Categories ships an update every 6 days, Quartetti every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
