# Textopus vs Latin formtrainer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Latin formtrainer at every 5 days against Textopus's every 3 months. Textopus's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Textopus sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per year and Latin formtrainer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Textopus ships an update every 3 months, Latin formtrainer every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
