# Systems vs Main Character

The clearest difference is update cadence: Main Character at every 9 days against Systems's every 4 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Systems sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and Main Character sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Systems ships an update every 4 weeks, Main Character every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
