# Speedometer vs Ways

The clearest difference is rating: Speedometer at 4.6 against Ways's 1.0. Speedometer also leads on review sentiment (25% vs 0%) and ratings volume (764 vs 1). Ways's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speedometer sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Ways sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Speedometer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speedometer has 764 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 25% of Speedometer's written reviews are positive against 0% of Ways's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
