# DroneScout pro vs WeldSet

The clearest difference is device support: DroneScout pro at 3 against WeldSet's 1. DroneScout pro also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DroneScout pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and WeldSet sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 25, 2026.
