# FTG Timer Pro vs Boxing Chrono

The clearest difference is update cadence: FTG Timer Pro at fortnightly against Boxing Chrono's every 4 months. FTG Timer Pro also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FTG Timer Pro sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Boxing Chrono sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FTG Timer Pro ships an update fortnightly, Boxing Chrono every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
