# Hivvy vs TheFlap

The clearest difference is ads: Hivvy at none against TheFlap's shown. Hivvy also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6). TheFlap's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (242 vs 2). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hivvy sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and TheFlap sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hivvy holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TheFlap has 242 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Hivvy ships an update every 8 days, TheFlap every 4 days. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
