# Trace vs MemoTrail

The clearest difference is ads: MemoTrail at none against Trace's shown. MemoTrail also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks). Trace's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.5). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Trace sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and MemoTrail sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
