# NoteBase vs Anara

The clearest difference is ads: NoteBase at none against Anara's shown. NoteBase also leads on ratings volume (20 vs 1) and review sentiment (91% vs 80%). Anara's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteBase sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Anara sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Anara holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoteBase has 20 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of NoteBase's written reviews are positive against 80% of Anara's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

NoteBase ships an update every 10 days, Anara every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 6, 2026 respectively.
