# LanguageFlash vs Readology

The clearest difference is ads: LanguageFlash at none against Readology's shown. LanguageFlash also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). Readology's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LanguageFlash sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Readology sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LanguageFlash ships an update every 2 months, Readology every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
