# Stopwatch vs Custom Visual Timer

The clearest difference is update cadence: Custom Visual Timer at monthly against Stopwatch's every 2 months. Stopwatch's advantage is iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Stopwatch sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Custom Visual Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Stopwatch ships an update every 2 months, Custom Visual Timer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
