# Nu vs BearWalks

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BearWalks at none against Nu's 7. BearWalks also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks). Nu's advantage is ratings volume (34 vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Nu sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. BearWalks asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Nu against 5.0 for BearWalks. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nu has 34 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
