# Clear vs VocalRemover

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Clear at 80% against VocalRemover's 50%. Clear also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 months). VocalRemover's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

VocalRemover holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 5 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Clear's written reviews are positive against 50% of VocalRemover's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Clear ships an update every 9 days, VocalRemover every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and September 20, 2026 respectively.
