# BluNote vs Flash Cards

The clearest difference is ads: Flash Cards at none against BluNote's shown. BluNote's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BluNote sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month and Flash Cards sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

BluNote ships an update every 3 days, Flash Cards every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
