# Prune vs Ping

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Ping at none against Prune's 3. Ping also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Prune's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Prune sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Ping asks for nothing beyond the download.

Prune ships an update fortnightly, Ping every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
