# Hydropal vs Apex Trace

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hydropal at every 3 days against Apex Trace's every 9 days. Apex Trace's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hydropal sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Apex Trace sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hydropal ships an update every 3 days, Apex Trace every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
