# KTool vs Today

The clearest difference is review sentiment: KTool at 100% against Today's 60%. KTool also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). Today's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs fortnightly) and rating (4.3 vs 4.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Today sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $20.00 per month. KTool asks for nothing beyond the download.

Today holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Today has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of KTool's written reviews are positive against 60% of Today's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

KTool ships an update fortnightly, Today every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
