# HERO2 vs Bright Miles

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: HERO2 at none against Bright Miles's 4. Bright Miles's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, rating, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bright Miles sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. HERO2 asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for HERO2 against 5.0 for Bright Miles. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bright Miles has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

HERO2 ships an update every 3 weeks, Bright Miles every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 7, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
