# Geonest Mapping vs NomadTracks

The clearest difference is update cadence: NomadTracks at weekly against Geonest Mapping's monthly. Geonest Mapping's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Geonest Mapping sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and NomadTracks sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Geonest Mapping ships an update monthly, NomadTracks weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
