# SimpleSped vs DesignPass

The clearest difference is monetization model: SimpleSped at free against DesignPass's paid. SimpleSped also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 27.0). DesignPass's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 9 days). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SimpleSped ships an update every 9 days, DesignPass every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
