# VIVE vs DateMate Planner

The clearest difference is update cadence: VIVE at every 5 days against DateMate Planner's every 2 weeks. DateMate Planner's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VIVE sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.99 per month and DateMate Planner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VIVE ships an update every 5 days, DateMate Planner every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
