# SMOVAPP vs In Control

The clearest difference is update cadence: In Control at every 2 weeks against SMOVAPP's every 6 weeks. SMOVAPP's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SMOVAPP sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days and In Control sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SMOVAPP ships an update every 6 weeks, In Control every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
