# Record Lectures vs LanSpeech

The clearest difference is update cadence: Record Lectures at every 3 days against LanSpeech's every 3 weeks. LanSpeech's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Record Lectures sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days and LanSpeech sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Record Lectures ships an update every 3 days, LanSpeech every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 7, 2026.
