# Animapedia vs NewsEN

The clearest difference is ads: NewsEN at none against Animapedia's shown. Animapedia's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs monthly) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animapedia sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and NewsEN sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Animapedia ships an update weekly, NewsEN monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
