# Omnipedia vs Códice

The clearest difference is update cadence: Códice at every 5 days against Omnipedia's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Omnipedia sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year and Códice sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Omnipedia ships an update every 2 weeks, Códice every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
