# Bananote vs Notelyn

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bananote at 100% against Notelyn's 25%. Notelyn's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.2). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bananote sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Notelyn sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notelyn holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 13 and 7 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Bananote's written reviews are positive against 25% of Notelyn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Bananote ships an update every 11 days, Notelyn fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
