# jKey vs BeamScribe

The clearest difference is update cadence: BeamScribe at every 5 days against jKey's every 2 weeks. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. jKey sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and BeamScribe sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
