# Step Journey Tracker vs Fit

The clearest difference is update cadence: Fit at every 5 days against Step Journey Tracker's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Step Journey Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Fit sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Step Journey Tracker ships an update every 4 months, Fit every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
